RAIDvancement Editorial Policy
Last reviewed: 2 August 2026 | Version 3.1
RAIDvancement is committed to producing the most accurate, trustworthy, and transparent MMORPG and esports content available. This policy defines the standards every contributor, editor, and reviewer is required to meet.
Our Commitment to Integrity
RAIDvancement was founded in 2021 with one principle above all others: community members deserve content they can trust completely. In a landscape where misinformation about game mechanics, patch changes, and competitive strategy proliferates rapidly, we hold ourselves to a higher standard than content mills and algorithmically generated guides.
This Editorial Policy applies in full to every article, guide, tier list, esports centre review, video script, and community post published on raidvancement.com. It is binding on all staff writers, contracted contributors, guest authors, and affiliate partners producing content under the RAIDvancement brand.
Editorial Independence
RAIDvancement operates as a fully independent publication. No game developer, esports sponsor, hardware brand, or third-party advertiser holds any editorial authority over our content. All guides, reviews, tier lists, and opinion pieces are produced solely on the basis of community benefit and factual accuracy. Sponsored content, where it exists, is conspicuously labelled in accordance with applicable advertising standards and never influences the position taken in adjacent editorial content.
Accuracy and Fact-Checking Standards
Every piece of content published on RAIDvancement undergoes a structured multi-stage verification process. Primary claims — including drop rates, class coefficients, gear item statistics, patch notes interpretations, and centre facility data — are independently corroborated against at least two authoritative sources before publication. These sources include official game patch documentation, peer-reviewed community wikis, developer announcements, and first-hand empirical testing conducted by our expert contributors. Statistical assertions are reviewed by a subject-matter specialist before sign-off.
Content Updates and Patch Currency
MMORPG game states change rapidly with every seasonal patch, expansion launch, and balance cycle. We commit to reviewing and updating all evergreen guides within 72 hours of a major patch release for our primary covered titles: World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, Old School RuneScape, RuneScape 3, Guild Wars 2, and Black Desert Online. Each article carries a 'Last Reviewed' date alongside its original publication date so readers can immediately assess currency. Guides that cannot be updated within a reasonable timeframe are flagged with a prominent 'Needs Review' banner.
Corrections Policy
We take factual errors seriously. When an error is identified — whether by our editorial team, a reader, or an expert community member — we correct it promptly and transparently. All material corrections are noted inline within the affected article with a date-stamped correction notice explaining what was changed and why. Minor typographical or formatting corrections are made silently. We do not delete, stealth-edit, or retroactively rewrite factual claims without disclosure. Readers who identify errors are encouraged to report them via our Discord server in the #editorial-corrections channel.
AI-Assisted Content Disclosure
RAIDvancement employs artificial intelligence tools solely as editorial aids for tasks such as copy-editing, formatting consistency checks, and research aggregation. No AI tool autonomously generates published content without substantial human review, contextual validation, and expert sign-off. Where AI-assisted drafting contributes to an article's initial structure, this is disclosed within the author block. All factual claims, game mechanic interpretations, and qualitative assessments originate from, and are verified by, human subject-matter experts.
Conflicts of Interest and Transparency
Our contributors are required to disclose any material relationship with game developers, esports organisations, hardware manufacturers, or other entities relevant to content they produce. Staff members who hold active guild memberships, professional team affiliations, or developer relations agreements are excluded from reviewing content directly pertaining to those relationships.
Community Standards and Sourcing
RAIDvancement is committed to equitable representation across all content. Author attribution is provided for every article. When referencing community data sources — including third-party parsers, DPS logs, marketboard trackers, and speedrun records — the originating source is hyperlinked and credited. Anecdotal community claims are identified as such and not presented as universal conclusions.
Authoritative Authors and Expert Review Team
Every piece of content on RAIDvancement is authored or reviewed by verified subject-matter experts with a minimum of ten years of demonstrable industry experience.
